Former chairman of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has killed his wife and himself in Pennsylvania in what family members say was an act of “profound love” because of his wife’s worsening dementia. Autopsies will be performed to determine the causes of the death for Charles Snelling and his wife, Adrienne, both 81. Their bodies were found Thursday inside their home in Upper Macungie Township. They had been married 61 years.
