She is in her prime and she is looking GOOD!! Despite what she’s been told, aging for her is moving into her power! She’s often noticed by younger men, but she discounts it, unsure of what it is they really want. Yeah, she keeps herself together physically. Yeah, she’s making money. But what she doesn’t know is how the emanation of her feminine energy is creating a spell that younger men find irresistible. It is scintillating and intoxicating, and they are attracted, and some of them don’t even know why!!!

Some younger men may think it’s the money. Others may think it’s the status. But we know something different ladies. And if you don’t know it; you better get to know it! We live in a culture that prides youth. Youthful women that is. Ladies, you know the deal. Aging for a woman in the culture is problematic. You know that unspoken, tacit rule that a woman ain’t nothing without her looks. She’s a little heavier now. Stomach…got that bulge. Skin ain’t so tight no more…you seein’ a few wrinkles. You notice that men your age are looking at women a little younger than you. So you rush out to get your anti-aging serums to re-invigorate that “youthful beauty” that you once revered, wondering where you fit in the culture now because you just don’t feel valued any longer.

But then, something is appearing a little different. You seein’ women on T.V., women that you know that are your age or older, dating men younger than you. In your mind, you like “what’s up?” You noticing that several women, your age and older, are looking extremely good and dating quite a few younger men. You are also are noticing that it is the rave. And you are hearing that they callin’ your peers…a COUGAR!!!

Defining Cougars and Pumas

So what is a cougar? For purposes of this conversation, a cougar is a woman 40 and above who dates men who are younger than she is. Have you ever seen a cougar before? The animal is elegant, graceful and confident! Spiritually she is exacting, the metaphor for matriarchal leadership, strength, and assertiveness!! So why would we call women cougars? It is because she is a feline…exuding femininity, sensuality, sexuality and an inner wisdom that is unmatched! See, there is something that is exquisitely BEAUTIFUL about a woman who knows who she is. Ain’t got nothing to do with clothes, but everything to do with confidence.

Knowing who you are and the strength that you carry exudes beauty. This is why we see women 40 and above, stopping the show. She’s in her prime, her essence, knowing and understanding the fullness of who she is and what she brings to the culture! Knowing that, she loves herself, taking excellent care of herself which manifests physically. This is why she’s looking so good. Remember believing it and embracing it, puts you on the path to being it!

Mature feminine energy is that nurturing, that soul stirring energy that is finessed over time. Similar to that old cliché, fine wine gets better with time. This is what mature feminine energy is! Capturing the attention and enveloping the soul with a gentleness and love that paralyzes the heart and minds of all who are clever enough to watch! This is who she is…the COUGAR!! She does it with her smile, her gait, her eyes and her mind! So tantalizing that all who watch get goose bumps watchin’ her work!

We got the young women watchin’ her stride now. She’s in her thirties and watching her sistas carefully as they learn to ascend to the throne. These young women are the Pumas, cougars in training! She is in her thirties, learning the trade, learning the game of confidence and the value that mature women bring to the culture! Ladies 40 and above…embrace your COUGAR!!! Under 40, watch and learn ladies because you too will ascend to that throne and begin to fully understand the power the feminine holds in the culture!
