Today, funnyman Tyler Perry celebrates his 42nd Birthday, but another year is only the beginning of his celebration.

According to new Forbes magazine tally, the list of the highest-paid men in entertainment is led by actor/director/screenwriter/producer/author Tyler Perry, whose films have grossed more than $500 million worldwide.

Forbes compiled the list based on the earnings of the men from May 2010 to May 2011.

Four days after President Obama laid out the American Jobs Act for Congress, he took his message to a public forum attended by over 100 African Americans at the White House and live-streamed over the Internet, imploring them to help get the bill passed.

“We are at a critical juncture in our country and this Jobs Act can deliver,” said Obama. “I need people to get out there and support this. If Congress doesn’t get it done, we know exactly who is holding this up.”

With Black unemployment at a 27-year-high of 16.7 percent, the President laid out specifics of his plan and how it would help to get the African-American community back to work.

The plan would provide summer jobs for youth (45 percent unemployment for Black youth) and boost the paychecks of 20 million Black workers through an extension and expansion of the payroll tax. It would also extend unemployment insurance for nearly 1.4 million African Americans who have been unemployed six months or longer.

The forum, titled “Open for Questions with InteractiveOne,” featured various administration officials discussing how the administration’s polices have affected and will affect the Black community, taking questions from NewsOne.com and its sister sites in the InteractiveOne network, TheGrio.com, TheUrbanDaily.com, HelloBeautiful.com, and BlackPlanet.com.

The featured speakers included Director of Domestic Policy Council Melody Barnes, US Secretary for Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan, Deputy Administrator of the US Small Business Administration Marie Johns, Ambassador and US Trade Representative Ron Kirk.

For over two hours, panelists and audience members peppered administration officials such as Valerie Jarrett with comments and questions from Twitter and social networking site, BlackPlanet.com.

The president urged the panelists and audience members to knock on doors to help educate the American public about the benefits of this bill.

“We must pump it up to pass this Jobs Act,” said Obama.

Quickly becoming one of America’s favorite new voices and one of Gospel music’s most underrated talents, Amber Bullock just took home the grand prize on Sunday evening’s two-hour, star-studded finale of the hit singing competition and worldwide franchise BET Sunday Best. Now headed toward it’s fifth consecutive season, the show takes the world’s best, brightest and unheard of voices in Gospel music and gives them the platform to sing everything from the classics to the contemporary tunes heard around the globe.

Tonight’s finale wouldn’t have been entirely complete without a plethora of guest appearances, special performances, musical tributes and on-air surprises. Opening the show with a bang, urban Gospel’s Lecrae gave the show street credibility with his current brand of “Holy Hip Hop.” Also appearing on stage were all three of the Sunday Best prior seasons’ winners – Crystal Aikin (Season I), Y’Anna Crawley (Season II) & LeAndria Johnson (Season III) – each of whom took on the massive musical tribute in the form of a stellar medley honoring Mahalia Jackson’s legacy. Following the new leading ladies of Gospel were legends Pastor Shirley Caesar plus Rance Allen & The Rance Allen Group. Former BET Sunday Best judge Yolanda Adams premiered her new single from her long-awaited new project and both VaShawn Mitchell and Trinitee 5:7 duo Chanel & Angel also performed. Surprise guest Angie Stone (R&B/soul singer/songwriter) was also given the mic for a brief moment to perform her hit “Brotha” dedicated to men of color everywhere.

Now, in the two-hour runtime of the Season IV finale, we really only heard Amber Bullock and runner-up Andrea Helms (37, of Dallas, TX) sing “live” three times before the end of the show. Each performed a medley of perfectly arranged songs of praise and worship. Early into Bullock’s opening set, which included the new worship anthem “How Great is Our God” and a stunning rendition of Kurt Carr’s choir classic “For Every Mountain,” many knew the competition was officially over. Helms’ featured set was full of the anointing as well, with “Because of Who You Are” and “The Heavens are Telling” shining throughout the medley. Coming together for one of the season’s only featured duets, the ladies gave an awesome acoustic and sonically superb performance of the contemporary Gospel hit “Moving Forward.”

Just before the big announcement came introspective interview segments featuring the touching testimony from LeAndria Johnson who later premiered the new single “Jesus” from her debut album “The Awakening of LeAndria Johnson” (in stores now). If you missed the interview, the testimony and the live performance, trust us when we say it ministered to millions and let us all know that even when we fall short of the glory of God, redemption and forgiveness is still possible even for those we lay claim to be “stars.”

As for the big moment when Amber Bullock was announced as the winner, we reminded once again of the prizes including a national recording contract with Music World Gospel, a cash prize and a brand new Ford Explorer – North America’s car of the year. Go behind the scenes with BET.com media sensation TorrenceG as he gets the scoop on the show from this year’s finalists, a few gospel legends and one gospel singer whom he predicts would win if she ever auditioned for the show.

From the southside of Chicago to halls where he is the main speaker, the story of Farrah Gray is nothing short of inspirational.

Gray, who grew up in an impoverished household where the fridge being empty was normal, became an entrepreneur at the young age of 6 until the age of 14 when he moved into the prepaid calling card business.

Farrah Gray got his start selling hand-painted rocks. Growing up in inner-city Chicago in the 1980s, Gray grew accustomed to days “when the only thing in our refrigerator was the light that came on when you opened the door,” he writes in his book, “Reallionaire.”

It was also an event worth recording when a month would pass without anyone being shot in his housing project, he writes. So he was determined from a young age to become self-sufficient. He told AOL Jobs that he credits the poverty of his childhood as the great motivating factor.

The scandal happening over at University Miami wasn’t the only ugly thing in the spotlight when the Terps played the Hurricanes on Monday. While the University of Maryland defeated the shorthanded Hurricanes 32-24 in Maryland coach Randy Edsall’s debut game more attention was given to Maryland’s new uniforms, and not good attention either. It became a worldwide Twitter trending topic. Seems the school wanted to pay tribute to the Maryland state flag with this double-sided helmet and uncoordinated shoulder pad scheme they have going on. The flag should feel embarrassed. Maybe it was and it threw up to make these uniforms, which could easily hold the distinction of ugliest ever in college football. Maybe the sudden attention will be good for Maryland football. What do you think?

31-year-old Antonio Laws is the latest case for Baltimore city homicide detectives.

Police say Antonio Laws was killed just a block away from the Bea Gaddy Family Center on Sunday afternoon. Investigators tell family he was shot five times while in his bed and pronounced dead on scene.
Investigators are actively searching for a suspect as well as a motive. An online check of court records shows Laws was released just weeks ago from jail after being charged with second degree assault and attempted rape. His family says he was getting his life together and he always made an effort to live out his grandmother’s mission to help those in need.
“He was a volunteer here endlessly. This past Thanksgiving, we couldn’t document the work he did. He worked from sun up to sun down and then beyond. He was putting in 12-18 hour days right here helping us,” said Brooks.
“We know the folks in the street have the information. They know what happened. And I’m asking – we help you, now we need you to help us,” said Brooks.
Antonio Laws was expecting a child in a few months. The family plans to bury him next to his grandmother, Bea Gaddy.

Harford County Police are asking for the public to keep their eyes open for a missing teenager.
Queen Amora Swift, 15-years-old, went missing from her home in the 1800 block of Nuttal Avenue in Edgewood Saturday night shortly after a fight with her parents.
Swift has shoulder length black hair, a mole beneath her left eye, and a tattoo of “Heavenly” on the lower right side of her abdomen.
She was last seen wearing a black and white striped half jacket, a white tank top, blue jeans and flip flops.
If you have any information about Queen Amora Swift’s whereabouts please call the Harford County Sheriff’s Office at 410-838-6600.

The fire would injure 10 firefighters and caused a 2-alarm-blaze.

A homeless man climbed onto the awning of a neighboring building and helped grab a child from a second-story window.

“I climbed the porch and got up on the other awning,” said Jeffrey Richards, 40. “I had one kid in my arms and then I dropped him down to the other guy below.”

92Q, Magic 95.9, WOLB 1010 and Spirit 1400 were in Mondawmin Mall all day Tuesday for voter registration. Tuesday was the last day to register to vote. Radio One would like to thank Mondawmin Mall and all those who registered or came by to show support. The earthquake did not seem to affect the flow of city residents who stopped by the mall.

CNN.com is reporting that a 5.8 magnitude earthquake rattled the nations capitol, Washington D.C. and it was felt up to 90 miles away in New York and in parts of Ohio. Reporters are saying that you could clearly feel the ground move, buildings were shaking and were shaking and things were falling off of the shelves in offices.

The Pentagon has been completely evacuated along with other businesses and local residents in D.C. and they are awaiting further instruction from security and officials.

There has been no report that the White House has been affected by this but we do know that President Obama is not in D.C.
