Praising and Celebrating
The Mighty Clouds of Joy, will celebrate their 50 year Golden Anniversary in Nashville, TN on October 10, 2010 with a concert at Crystal Fountain Church. This milestone is preceded by over 30 albums and multiple chart topping singles that have earned them three Grammy Awards. The Mighty Clouds Of Joy were founded in the mid-1950s in Los Angeles, CA by teen aged schoolmates Joe Ligon and Johnny Martin. They made their recording debut in 1960 with the song “Steal Away To Jesus.” In the decades that followed, the quartet became true pioneers as the first Gospel group to appear on Soul Train and to tour with major secular artists including, Paul Simon, Marvin Gaye and The Rolling Stones. The Mighty Clouds Of Joy were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1999.
Presented by R&R Productions and J. Bender Entertainment, the 50th Anniversary Concert will be held at Crystal Fountain Church on Sunday 10/10/10 at 6pm. Other performers include Malaco recording artists The Joy Boyz, The Swanee Trumpeteers, The Gospel Troops, and Broken.

On Tuesday, October 19, 2010, Columbia Records will release Stellar Award winning contemporary gospel singer/songwriter/performer Tye Tribbett’s highly anticipated solo debut, Fresh. Fresh is the first new full-length album from Tye Tribbett since the gospel artist’s StandOUT entered the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart at #1, shortly following its release in May 2008.

Gone To Glory
Bishop Moales Sr. was the founding pastor of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit (formerly the Prayer Tabernacle Church of Love, Inc.) in Bridgeport, CT and served in that capacity for 42 years. He became Presiding Prelate of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in 1995. He wrote the book “Strategies for Spiritual Warfare: A Collection of Sermons.” Bishop Kenneth Moales, Sr. was married to Peggy Ann Moales for 43 years. He leaves behind his wife, three children, twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The cause of death has not been released.
