A Charlotte organization is bringing smiles and granting birthday wishes for a number of the cities homeless families. This year “Bright Blessings” will serve 3,000 homeless children alone across four counties in the greater Charlotte area.
“My son’s birthday was coming up and I wanted it to be better than it was last year, and I didn’t have the money to buy a five dollar toy from the food line,” homeless mom Lawanda Horn said before breaking down in tears.
