A former Rutger’s University football player isn’t letting his paralysis get him down.

Eric LeGrand tweeted “Standing tall, we can’t fall,” after a therapy session that allowed the 6-foot-2 defensive tackle to simulate standing erect.

LeGrand, 20, was paralyzed last October when two of his vertebrae were fractured during the Rutgers-Army game. Within a week of being paralyzed, he moved his shoulder, and in early November was taken off a ventilator.

“When you are sitting in a chair, you are always looking up — and he now has the ability to look everyone at eye level again,” Wojciehowski said.

He’s scheduled for another session today.
