Hurricane Irene Upgraded To Category 3 Storm

The first hurricane of the season is a major one and was just upgraded overnight to a Category 3 storm. The projected path of Hurricane Irene will track across the Bahamas the next couple of days on a path towards the East Coast of the U.S. Friday into the weekend.
