Arlington County police say Washington Washington Football Team safety Brandon Meriweather was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after refusing a breath test.
Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck says Meriweather was pulled over shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday on westbound Interstate 66 outside of Washington and failed a sobriety test after refusing a breath test. The police spokesman says Meriweather was arrested and taken to a county detention center before he was released later Thursday.
