One of Baltimore’s 176 homicides so far this year hit particularly close to home for the city police department’s spokesperson T. J. Smith.
In a detailed post on Facebook, Smith explained that his brother, Dionay “Dion” Smith, was the victim in a July 2 homicide in central Baltimore’s Upton area.
