On Friday, Mayor Catherine Pugh picks Fort Worth, Texas, Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald as Baltimore’s next police commissioner.
Pugh called Fitzgerald the “best choice to lead Baltimore City’s crime fight.”
Fitzgerald must now be confirmed by Baltimore City Council before being named commissioner.
