Afro-Punk also recognizes emerging bands and artists who refuse to categorized into a stereotypical role that is often associated with African American artists. Afro-punk is a cultural movement bringing together alternative urban kids from across the nation to come together and enjoy good music, art, and fashion.

ABOUT THE NEWSONE/AFROPUNK PARTNERSHIP:

Newsone has partnered up with Afro-punk to help promote the black activist message to the public, that rock/punk music is still very relevant to the history of African Americans. People do not often associate people of color with the rock or punk scene. Afro-punk is a growing community of the black people that still do exist in the scene.

Look out for some cool new content from our new partner coming soon!
