Gospel has gone galactic with the exciting new project from urban/contemporary worship singer and songwriter Deitrick Haddon. That’s right! You heard it correct the first time – Deitrick invites the saints to live above the norm and have some good ol’ fashioned Church on the Moon, his newest musical offering expected to hit the scene in just under a week on Tuesday, January 25th.

Giving gospel fans a sneak peek inside the new project, Deitrick Haddon held his first official listening party and preview concert during this past weekend’s 2011 Stellar Awards pre-show events at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville, TN. With high energy, a fresh sound and a concept that’s sure to blow the minds of the average gospel music lover, Deitrick’s forthcoming Church on the Moon is just one on a growing list of great gospel music releases to shine forth in 2011.

Taking a rather interesting trek through the new album’s 19 tracks, Deitrick Haddon performed a power-packed set highlighted by some old and some new singles. Three that stood out among the bunch include “Fighting Temptation,” a song also featured on the soundtrack to Haddon’s “Blessed & Cursed” film project plus the old school churchy sound of “Touch Me” and Christian club banger “Reppin’ The Kingdom” featuring special guests J. Moss, Canton Jones, Tye Tribbett and Deitrick’s rapping alter ego “D. Haddy.”

So without further delay, are you ready to experience Church on the Moon along with the rest of the world? Be sure to check out Deitrick Haddon’s riveting performances and his description of the entire project. And don’t forget to pick yours up on Tuesday, January 25th!
