Reverend Jesse Jackson wants to revive the “War on Poverty.”

Reflecting on former President Lyndon B. Johnson’s efforts, Jackon commended the nations’ introduction of Medicare, Medicaid, and the Trial Nutrition Act.

“If we can bailout banks if we can reconstruct Iran and Afghanistan then we can do a war on poverty that works,” Jackson told MSNBC.

He talks about de-racializing poverty, to not focus on certain races or nationalities but poverty as a whole.
