Beloved Happy Days star Al Molinaro died in a California hospital this past Thursday at the age of 96 years old.
Molinaro was best known for his portrayal of Al Delvecchio, the chef and owner of Arnold’s drive-in, on the classic 70s sitcom. He also went on to appear in the series’ spin-off, Joani Loves Chachi.
According to Molinaro’s son, the actor suffered from gallstones, but elected not to have surgery because of his age. He is survived by his son Michael and wife Betty, TMZ reports.
