The travel ban has been lifted after a deadly blizzard struck the city of New York, dumping nearly 27 inches of snow. The MTA bus service and most subway lines were restored Sunday morning after the storm kept most of the city’s population indoors this weekend. [NY Daily News]

A 5-year-old Wisconsin boy was killed after a gunman in an SUV pulled up alongside his father’s car and opened fire. The young boy was shot once in the abdomen and died at a local hospital. Police are actively searching for the man responsible for this crime. [Fox News]

The crowdfunding site GoFundMe will give away an extra $10,000 to the campaign who raises the most money to supply clean water to the residents of Flint, Michigan. A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Southcentral Alaska early Sunday morning. The earthquake happened nearly 160 miles southwest of Anchorage, but fortunately, there were no injuries reported. [ABC News]
