We often attach time frames to different areas of our lives, but is there ever really a right time for anything? Nature happens. And we can’t control that.

That being said, it’s never too early to check yourself for breast cancer. It has no age, race or sex, and latches onto an estimated 246,000 women and 2,600 men in the United States per year.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women; however, early detection and treatment allows room for a healthy, normal life.

In addition to timely mammograms, breast self-exams (BSE) are a quick and easy way to stay on top of your status and can be done right at home. Performing BSEs regularly also allows you to become more familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel.
