A viral video shows a Texas mother being aggressively arrested after she called the police to arrest a man who was choking her son.

According to The Guardian, the footage shows Jacqueline Craig and one of her teenage daughters being wrestled to the ground and arrested one by one with a stun gun held against their backs by a Fort-Worth officer. This happened after Craig was explaining to the officer about the man she says was choking her 7-year-old son. Craig also told the officer that the man claims her son had littered on the street. In the video, the unidentified officer responded, “Why don’t you teach your son not to litter?”

Afterwards, the situation escalated: Craig and the officer began arguing. If you keep yelling at me, you’re gonna piss me off, and I’m gonna take you to jail,” the officer threatened. When her daughter attempted to stand in between them, he pulled each one to the ground and arrested them. It’s also been reported that Craig’s 15-year-old daughter was also arrested.

Thankfully, all three were released from jail on Thursday.

The video that was uploaded on Facebook by Craig’s aunt on Wednesday night has sparked public outrage, which has prompted the Fort-Worth police department to release a statement. They said the officer has been “placed on restricted duty status by the Chief of Police pending the outcome of the internal investigation.”

We acknowledge that the initial appearance of the video may raise serious questions,” the statement read. “We ask that our investigators are given the time and opportunity to thoroughly examine this incident and to submit their findings.

Craig’s attorney Lee Merritt said the two women were charged with resisting and interference, yet the man who allegedly slapped her son wasn’t even questioned by the police.
