This week I am sharing success principles from a powerful book called only the best on Success, which is a book that features a number of Hall of Fame speakers. And I’m honored to be one of the Hall of Fame speakers featured in the book.
In the book I share the story of leaving my job. When I started my speaking business, I quit my coworkers laughed at me when I told them I was leaving to go start speaking full time. I had $200 to my name and they said I was crazy. They said no one gonna pay you to speak. That’s impossible, they said. So you better keep your good government job because see, you won’t be back. Yeah, you’ll be back. And they laughed as I walked out the building that day to get in my old beat-up car. Well, they were right, I did come back three years later as their keynote speaker. Getting paid 8 times more than I used to make, and driving a Mercedes.
Folks, do not let negative people keep you from living your dream. You must trust God, work hard and never give up. You know that’s right. Amen.
