The Talladega College Marching Tornadoes have raised more than $500,000 on their GoFundMe page to cover inauguration expenses after the band from the small and historically Black institution in Alabama took major heat for agreeing to perform at Donald Trump's inaugural parade.
Authorities arrested congregation member Andrew McClinton and charged him with one count of first-degree arson in the burning of a Black church that was also vandalized with the words "Vote Trump" in Mississippi on Nov. 1.
John Franklin McGraw pleaded no contest to battery and assault charges after the high-profile incident in March.
In the early morning hours Wednesday, Trump was announced as the winner of the divisive, unprecedented election.
